Web Development

Backend

Cloud-native .NET services, integration boundaries, and backend code that favors clarity.

Professional Backend Experience

My resume centers on C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, RESTful APIs, SQL Server, Azure, data modeling, and service-layer design. Across roles, I have built backend logic, data access layers, computational engines, generated-data scaffolding layers, Azure Functions prototypes, and APIs behind Angular and Blazor interfaces.

Repo Evidence

ASP.NET Core

The portfolio app uses ASP.NET Core hosting, Razor Pages, Blazor Server, static files, routing, authentication, and authorization middleware.

Microsoft Identity

The web app is configured with Microsoft.Identity.Web and Microsoft Identity UI for Azure AD sign-in flows.

Minimal API

The Bible API project exposes compact HTTP endpoints for health checks, Bible metadata, recommended translations, and passage retrieval.

Typed Integration Client

The YouVersion client wraps HTTP calls, request headers, response parsing, error translation, and normalized response models.

Backend Habits

  • Validate inputs at the HTTP boundary before calling downstream services.
  • Normalize external API responses into local response models.
  • Make missing configuration fail clearly with actionable messages.
  • Document local run, test URLs, deployment commands, secrets, and log inspection.
